His commitment to excellence and problem-solving skills quickly propelled him into the world of enterprise software, with a particular focus on implementing SAP and B2B ecommerce solutions. However, his true calling emerged when he transitioned into the Life Sciences sector.
In 2001, drawing upon his extensive experience and entrepreneurial spirit, Jay founded SpagsCorp Consulting Inc, a company dedicated to providing innovative solutions for the Life Sciences industry. His expertise spans various domains, including Cell & Gene Therapy system development, Chain of Identity and Chain of Custody, Clinical Trial Management System development, Pharmacovigilance, computer system validation, regulatory compliance, regulatory reporting, dossier submission, and document management.
Jay’s commitment to others extends beyond his professional life. For over 15 years, he has proudly served as a volunteer fireman and EMT, exemplifying his dedication to the safety and well-being of his community. Additionally, he founded American ResQ, a non-profit rescue organization that lends a helping hand during natural disasters, providing essential aid and water rescue services across the country.
When he’s not immersed in the world of technology and community service, Jay enjoys the great outdoors. He’s an avid surfer, finding solace in the rolling waves, and a skilled snowboarder who embraces the thrill of the slopes. Whether he’s riding waves or carving through powder, Jay’s love for adventure and nature is a testament to his balanced and dynamic life.
Joseph Giarrusso is a dedicated professional with a diverse background in firefighting, emergency medical response, military service, and business advisory. With nearly 15 years of experience, Joseph has consistently demonstrated his commitment to safety, leadership, and crisis management.
Joseph’s journey into public service began as a Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). He simultaneously served at a Federal Fire Department and local volunteer department. Throughout his tenure, Joseph demonstrated his unwavering dedication to saving lives and protecting communities.
In addition to his firefighting career, Joseph proudly served in the United States Marine Corps as a Landing Support Specialist with the rank of Sergeant E-5. He managed transportation throughput systems on beaches, landing zones, and seaports, contributing to efficient logistical operations. He distinguished himself as a Training Non-Commissioned Officer, responsible for developing and delivering training programs. His leadership skills were further evident as the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge at Forward Operating Base Zeebrugge, where he oversaw logistical operations for a Special Operations Task Force and Weapons Company Third Battalion, Fourth Marines in the Kajaki, Afghanistan area of operations. Joseph’s dedication to service earned him several medals and awards, including the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War On Terrorism Service Ribbon, Navy Sea Service Deployment Medal, ISAF Non-Article 5 NATO Medal, and an Honorable Discharge.
In civilian life, Joseph has expanded his expertise beyond public service and the military, bringing his valuable insights into the Life Sciences industry. At SpagsCorp he provides expert advisory services for a wide range of projects. His focus includes business architecture and project management for the implementation of Clinical Trial Management Systems and Cell and Gene Therapy platforms.

Joseph has a deep love for challenging outdoor adventures, particularly when it comes to conquering demanding hiking trails and scaling mountain peaks to wreck diving 130’ down on the ocean floor. Thomas is a hardworking, detail-oriented professional who graduated from the College of New Jersey with a degree in Marketing. He began his career in the Life Science industry with Protea Bioscience. There he worked closely with the sales and marketing team to develop and cultivate their presence in the industry.
Thomas brings his industry experience, dedication, and attention to detail to SpagsCorp. His focus is in the areas of business architecture and the validation of complex Clinical Trial Management Systems and Cell and Gene Therapy platforms.
Outside of work, Thomas has dedicated a significant portion of his time to serving the community. As a young adult, he joined his local volunteer fire company and has served as a fireman for over 10 years. During that time, his desire to serve his community grew. As he became heavily invested in the volunteer fire department, he also developed a passion for philanthropy and participated in fundraising events. He competed in surf competitions to raise money for charitable organizations like “Surfing for Their Sacrifice” and tested his resolve by rock climbing the height of the Twin Towers in full turnout gear to raise money for the charitable organization “Tunnel to Towers”.

His wanderlust spirit takes him on countless adventures from the beaches of New Jersey to the coastline of North Carolina to the white sandy beaches of Florida and to the highest peaks of the Rocky Mountains. Thomas has a passion for sport climbing, surfing, and snowboarding, and makes the most of each and every day in his career and personal life.
Pete is a multifaceted professional and entrepreneur with an undeniable passion for his community. At age 16 he joined his local fire department where he earned his EMT and various Rescue certifications bolstering his public service capabilities. During this time, Pete started a landscaping business and used the revenues to pay his way through college where he earned degrees in Business Administration and Emergency Management.
He grew his business until he felt the calling to wear our nation’s uniform. Pete joined the Air Force where he earned the rank of Senior Airman. In the military, he specialized in Fire Protection, providing emergency services to military assets, base residents, and surrounding communities. On deployment, Pete was assigned to Crash Fire / Rescue services and EMS Support for Explosive Ordinance Disposal crews.
Although he is no longer in the Air Force, Pete continues his public service today. For almost 20 years he has been involved in emergency services, serving as both a fireman and an EMT. He has also traveled the country with American ResQ to provide rescue services to hurricane victims. In his own community, Pete enjoys serving at his local church and neighborhood volunteer centers.
Pete has also found success in the business world outside of the military and emergency services. He has become an invaluable member of the SpagsCorp Leadership team where he brings his management skills and analytical mind to bear on a wide range of projects. He specializes in the business architecture of complex Cell and Gene Therapy platforms.
Outside of work and public service, Pete enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children. Since moving to Florida, he’s developed an enthusiasm for fishing, boating, and outdoor recreation.
